About the 100 Club
Founded in 2012, the 100 Club in the Heart of Texas is a citizen-led, non-profit organization dedicated to standing beside the families of first responders who make the ultimate sacrifice.
When a hero is killed in the line of duty, the 100 Club steps in, helping cover funeral costs, easing mortgage or debt burdens, and supporting the educational needs of surviving family members. Entirely volunteer-driven, non-political, and operating without government funding, the Club exists purely because our community chooses to give back.
Support from the 100 Club is available to the spouses and dependents of all paid and volunteer law enforcement officers, firefighters, corrections officers, emergency medical responders, and 911 telecommunicators serving in McLennan and surrounding Heart of Texas counties.
The 100 Club of the Heart of Texas is part of a proud tradition. This movement began in Detroit in 1952, when a local businessman was so moved by the death of a police officer that he wrote to 100 of his friends, asking each to donate to support the officer’s family through their darkest days.
Every single one said yes.
